Chipotle is at it again. It is concerning that a fast food company is compelled to use outright lies and deceit to pad their bottom line. Some would wonder why a grain farmer would take these allegations in Chipotle's marketing campaign so personally. These marketing executives and restaurant executives make insane amounts of money because they know how to make the Corporate Restaurant Chain of Chipotle insane amounts of money. Apparently adding to the company's chain of 1600 stores' sales is more important than telling the truth. This is the perfect example of corporate America conning consumers into helping them make billions in profits. They have the nerve to encourage you to spend in their stores to combat "Industrial Corporate Farms". The USDA states that 97% of all farms in the USA are family owned and operated like mine. I am pretty sure there are no farmers in the USA with control of 1600 farms and over $3 billion dollars in annual sales.
My family has farmed in our community for 7 generations. I don't think anyone who has ever known any of us has ever referred to my family and our farm as dangerous. American farmers are hard working and innovative individuals who take pride in what we do. I ask that you help the Family Farmers in our country by speaking out to Chipotle about an advertising campaign based on lies to scare consumers into helping them make the next billion dollars for their corporation. Please visit Chipotle.com and voice your opinion. Let them know that lying for profit is not an acceptable business practice. I ask that you share what a real family farmer has to say about this subject. If you have a question about food or farming ask us don't rely on profit driven corporate suits to tell you.
