I'm a 7th generation family farmer who grows corn, wheat, soybeans and tobacco in Southern KY and Northern Middle TN. Let me know what you think or if you have questions about what we do!

The 2013 Tobacco Crop is in the ground!
Tobacco transplants being loaded on a trailer headed to the field. |
The plants are started in the greenhouse in early march and are ready to be transplanted in May. |
Sherman Marklin heads up the tobacco setting crew. |
A few of our H2A migrant workers riding the setter. These four workers have been coming for over 10 years to help us with our tobacco crop. They are like family to us! |
The tobacco is plowed to keep the ground loose and help control weeds. |
The tobacco has to be weeded manually between the plants to control weeds. Chopping out tobacco is a big job especially on a hot day! |
Nothing better than the smell of freshly tilled ground. |
